Today’s Upstater pick is an unusual find: a Victorian on 1.63 acres in the heart of Kingston.
Yet here we are. It’s a c.1860 Queen Anne Victorian, with all the stained glass and ornate millwork you’d expect.
The foyer past the double front doors is carpeted and wallpapered, but otherwise hews close to its roots.
The staircase, too, has Victorian details.

A similarly shaped living room has more-neutral wallpaper but the same bowed triple windows.

There are two bathrooms. This one is drenched in white, with a turquoise-painted radiator next to a vintage tub.
Continue upstairs past the second floor to the attic, for a wealth of woodwork.
It’s finished, with linoleum flooring and built-in shelves in some of the rooms.
Careful craftsmanship and transomed windows add a Gothic glow to the space.
And yes—you can access the top floor of the garret, too.
The back porch of the house is screened.
The yard includes a detached, two-car garage.
