A Victorian Landmark in Rhinebeck, $749,000
Kandy Harris | April 21, 2015Confession Time: As much as we like this Italianate Victorian in the village of Rhinebeck, we were pretty bummed when we realized that the front tower, that part that makes the house really stand out as “Italianate,” is no longer on the house. Still, the beauty of this 1860s home is apparent even if the interior needs to have some mustard yellow carpeting pulled up and some crazy, imposing wallpaper remedied. The 3600 square foot Rhinebeckian mini-manse was home to Henry Lartson, the builder behind the Wilderstein estate and whole bunch of other 19th century buildings around the town and village.
