A Warwick Contemporary with a “Secret” Room for $774K

  |  June 29, 2022

Today we’re touring a true showcase of a Warwick home that’s full of fun.

TL:DR—but the photos alone tell the story. Built in 1986, this 2,740-square-foot contemporary has had multiple updates recently, including new appliances, a new furnace, new hardwood floors on the first level, and too many more to list. The front patio has a neat firepit from which you can stargaze, and there’s a cedar hot tub tucked into the side deck.

The two-story entry is a stunner: the staircase is a crafty combo of wood and curlicue iron, and big floor-to-almost-the-ceiling windows are complemented by transom windows at the roofline.

The living room, with a stone fireplace, is being used as a game room. It has a floor-to-ceiling bay window and more of that new hardwood flooring.

A second-level catwalk leads to a spiral staircase descending to a family room that has sliders to the big side deck.

The dining room is tucked behind a stone wall near the kitchen. Check out the coffered ceiling.

The kitchen itself is huge and inviting, with stainless-steel appliances, a lot of counter space, and a solid-surface-topped island that seats five.

There’s a main-level bedroom with casement windows and a door to the outside. There’s also a full bath on this level.

Head upstairs to a skylight-lit hall.

Pretty plain-looking bookcase, right? Wrong—it’s a DOOR!

And look at what’s behind it….a “secret” room!

The second floor also houses the primary bedroom, which has its own fireplace and balcony.

You’ll really want to spend a good amount of time in this primary bathroom, though. Double sinks with tons of room to spread out, AND a separate dressing table/vanity? Yes, please.

That neat wall tiling runs around the entire room, taking in a magnificent glass-and-tile shower system and a jetted soaking tub, too.

The hall bath that serves a secondary bedroom (which is now used as an office) is nothing to sneeze at, with a double-sink vanity and a tub/shower combo.

The basement has this urbanesque workout room…

…and a sauna.

Don’t forget the inground pool with a slide for those hot summer days.

Oh, and there’s this sweet writing shed, with heat and electricity.

So prepare to flex your creative muscles here.

All of this splendor is spread over more than five-and-a-half acres. The house has solar panels and a full-house generator, too. It’s a two-minute drive to the Country Dream for a great breakfast, and just 10 minutes to downtown Warwick.
