An Ellenville Split-Level, Perfect for Family Fun: $364K

  |  July 10, 2024

There’s a lot to love about a split-level home. The layout allows plenty of living space packed into a footprint smaller than that of a ranch. Today, Upstater’s at an Ellenville split-level that’s perfect for family fun.

A mix of brick and wood siding make up the exterior. A wood-and-brick walkway needs some leveling, but has character. Check out the virtual tour online for a better look at the huge driveway and parking area in the front of the property.

A heavily carved front door adds dramatic flair.

The house was built in 1969, but most of the rooms are timeless, with hardwood flooring and neutral walls. The living room is large and airy.

See how well both vintage and modern furniture fits into the space?

The kitchen/dining area has a ceramic tile floor. Some of the appliances could use an upgrade. The cabinets, too, will probably undergo renovation by the new owner. The countertops appear to be granite, though; perhaps the new owner would consider refinishing the cabinet faces and upgrading the hardware.

The same, alas, cannot be said for this bathroom, which probably has seen better days. Faux wood-paneling covers the vanity—as well as doors to interesting inset cupboards above the sink. If you’re a purist, you may want to hang onto the tiled walls and floor.

Four bedrooms and three baths are packed into this 1,800-square-foot interior. This bedroom has a wood floor and enough room for a bed and dresser.

This room seems bigger, with the same wall/floor decor.

The primary bedroom is stately and roomy.

This bathroom is, sadly, dated.

The lower level room has a great wood floor and white walls. It’s currently serving as a multifunctional room housing gym space, a spare fridge, a home for a birdie, and a classy sitting area with leather club chairs and a compact bar cabinet.

Also down here is a good-sized bedroom with an ensuite bath.

Golden, frosted glass covers the shower door. The walnut-toned vanity looks newish, but the new owner might want to redo some things here.

An inground pool is pictured in the virtual tour—in addition to that, the property totals nearly three-quarters of an acre. Backing up to these woods means there are no neighbors behind you. And yet, the house is just under two miles from the center of the village and authentic, tasty Mexican dishes at Gaby’s Cafe.
