Balmville Split-Level Is Move-In Ready for $425K

  |  October 6, 2022

This sweet split-level is in Balmville, a sought-after part of the town of Newburgh, not far from 9W and Route 84 and just down the block from Hudson River views.

It’s got three bedrooms and 2.5 baths in 2,240 square feet, with an interesting foyer.

See what we mean? Two sets of stairs head up to the left, and there’s a filigreed window in the wall. The marble-esque floor tile, crystal lighting, and that filigree lend an Italianate look, in our opinion.

That first set of stairs leads to a spacious living room with hardwood floors and a picture window. Oh, there are two filigreed windows that—at living-room level—hug the floor.

At the other end of the floor is the dining room, with sliders out to a raised deck. The kitchen island forms one half-wall side of the area.

The kitchen was updated in shades of gray and white. The L-shaped peninsula has stool seating, and there’s leafy stenciling on one wall. That staircase is the second set of steps we saw in the foyer.

There’s another flight up from the living room, and it leads to three bedrooms. The primary bedroom has nice hardwood floors…

…mirrored closet doors…

…and a compact bath with a petite sink and a walk-in shower.

The secondary bedrooms share the same hardwood floor details and neutral walls (translation: Not too much work needs to be done by the new homeowner).

They all have verdant views of the neighborhood, too.

The hall bath has a tub/shower, wood vanity, and moody blue ceramic tile on the floor and backsplash.

The basement level has a brick fireplace that spans an entire wall; hardwood floors; and wood-framed glass doors to the back patio.

It’s also got this large office…

…as well as a closet-sized one.

Outdoor entertaining space abounds, with the patio, a multi-tiered deck, and almost a half-acre of property.
