Bear Mountain Inn to Reopen

Our friends at The Loop (an Upstater-like blog about Westchester County) reported yesterday that Orange County’s Bear Mountain Inn, which has been closed for renovations for six long years, will reopen on February 18. The new and improved version of the Inn (the inside never quite matched the beauty of the outside) will now include 15 luxury guest rooms and suites and more than 20,000 square feet of event space. In other words, they’re back to courting the New York City wedding crowd. Despite its luxury makeover (rooms will now be as much as $450), the place will still be pet-friendly.
