Belleayre Mountain Beauty Betwixt Three Counties, $525K
Kandy Harris | February 4, 2019Have you got skiing on your mind? Cozy up to the slopes in this Belleayre Mountain farmhouse.
Recently, we featured this list of where to eat and stay next time you take a ski-trip to Belleayre Mountain, which got us thinking, “What if we didn’t have to find a place to eat and stay near Belleayre? What if we just lived there?”
In fact, we think about this every year, which is why we love to house-hunt around the local winter sports mountains…and there are plenty around here. There’s Belleayre, of course, but also Hunter, Windham, Plattekill, Holiday Mountain, Thunder Ridge, and Catamount, as well as Butternut and Mohawk Mountain out-of-state. And, that doesn’t include the miles upon miles of cross-country trails that wind their way around the region. This c.1900 farmhouse sits on 2.25 in Delaware County, right in the midst of all that snow-covered fun.
The 2,800-square-foot interior will big enough for family and friends looking to take advantage of the property’s location. It’s also been recently renovated with new electric, heating, floors, and septic system, and includes an eat-in kitchen and living room wood stove.
In addition to comfy bedrooms and common living areas inside the house, this property offers some sweet outdoor surprises, too, like this creek-side deck, a gazebo, large fenced-in vegetable garden, spring-fed pond, apple orchard, fire pit, bocce ball court, and, perhaps our favorite perk of all, its own wine grape-producing vineyard with 225 mature vines plus an adjacent tasting area. Hobbyist vintners, take note!
Conveniently-located to both Ulster County and Greene County.
Considering getting your own place near your favorite slopes in the Hudson Valley, Catskills, or Berkshires? Get your skis shined up and stick with Upstater all week long for more of our favorite properties on-the-market.
