Big on Style, Small on Size (and price) in Kerhonkson, $145,000
Kandy Harris | October 29, 2015While poking around ye olde haunted Napanoch and environs, we stumbled upon this breezy little cottage just north of Kerhonkson hamlet in Ulster County. It’s not even 1000 square feet in size, but it seems larger somehow, due in part to the large livingroom with double doors leading onto a covered porch (which is being used here as a formal dining room. Dead brilliant!) and a flowing layout the gives the living room/dining & kitchen a sense of openness. The yard is small (standard residential quarter acre) yet private, and the living room woodstove must keep it toasty enough in the winter to save some dough on heating. We’re thinking this would make a solid first-home purchase, or a second-home-as-first-home purchase, or a second-home-as-second-home-purchase. Any way you slice it, this cottage is a delight.
12 Penny Lane, Kerhonkson (Village Green Realty)
