Bovina Center 140-acre Inn & Compound, $995,000
Kandy Harris | August 20, 2015The setting doesn’t get much more bucolic than Bovina Center in Delaware County, surrounded by the Catskills and lush, rolling meadows. And 140 acres of it, at that. The property is currently the Carriage House Inn and consists of four residences: The main house with two master suites; a refurbished 3-story barn with a rec room, studio, and office; carriage house with two suits, a Ranch cottage, and a 2 bed/1.5 bath mobile home. Did we mention it’s all on 140 acres? Because that’s the winning aspect of this property. That, and the refurbished barn is attractive (even though we prefer red). It’s horse-friendly with stalls and plenty of space to play, complete with a mirror pond dropped right in the middle of it all. While we wouldn’t call Bovina Center a hopping town, we’ve watched its popularity bloom, and there’s certainly no shortage of good food around (Brushland Eating House, Russell’s General Store, Table on Ten up north in Bloomville, and Two Old Tarts now located south in Andes). Even at close to a million, this is a whole lotta inn.
