Bovina Center’s Sunset Cottage Offers Rustic Charm and Pretty Views, $189,000
Kandy Harris | October 12, 2015Is Bovina Center the new country hipster paradise in the Catskills? Well, we’re definitely not going that far with it. As much as the NYT would like you to think that it’s the new place where all the cool kids hang out (and yes, there are some cool kids there, especially the ones who own and operate the Brushland Eating House, which is rapidly becoming a favorite place to eat for just about everyone we know), it’s still a tiny country hamlet in Delaware County, and that’s why we love it. We also love this Bovina country farmhouse containing roughly a metric boatload’s-worth of rustic charm, and we wouldn’t change a thing about it’s shabby-chic, lived-in interior. Here’s what else we like about it: The views of the hills, which are certainly stunning this time of year. Also, the property comes with over an acre of land right in the hamlet, which means it’s walking distance to both civilization and the aforementioned Brushland. Definitely strong second home potential…if you can stand to leave it. We’re not sure we could.
