Business Insider Tells Us Where to Go in the Hudson Valley & Catskills

Proclaiming that folks are choosing the Hudson Valley/Catskills over the Hamptons is becoming a cliche at worst, and an inaccurate comparison at best. So, let’s just dispense with this point brought up in the click-baity headline of this recent piece in Business Insider about visiting our beautiful region right this instant: The Hamptons are their Own Thing. The Hudson Valley and Catskills can stand on their own without the compare/contrast exercises.

Now, with that out of the way, we can get to the real crux of the story, which is that Business Insider offers decent travel guide covering the northern Catskills all the way down to the lower Hudson Valley. The guide hits a lot of places around the area, so do not, we repeat, DO NOT try to do it all in one weekend. Towns on the list include: Woodstock, Phoenicia, Kingston, Hudson, Narrowsburg, Callicoon, Livingston Manor, Hudson, and Beacon, just to name a select few. Missing from the guide: Anywhere in Delaware County, which is a crying shame considering how much we love it there…and it bares zero resemblance to the Hamptons, whatsoever.
