Car-Free Country House: Hudson Church+Recording Studio, $600,000
Kandy Harris | April 3, 2013This property is a little outside of what we usually write about on Car-Free Wednesdays, but look at it! Not only is this circa-1869 church one of the most recognizable landmarks in the city of Hudson, with its grand spires and remarkable stonework, it’s also an incredible recording studio. You can read more of the technical nitty-gritty on the Waterfront Studios website. Long story short, it’s 7,000 square feet of music-nerd heaven, and you could technically live in it, since there’s a kitchen and a bathroom. We certainly would. What a beauty. Plus, it’s less than a mile from the Hudson Amtrak station. See? Car-Free, after all. The GMAP isn’t quite right: The church is actually on the corner of Route 9G and N. 6th Street.
