Car-Free Country House: New Paltz Village Victorian, $339,000
Kandy Harris | August 29, 2012
We’ve been eye-balling this New Paltz Victorian in an amazingly walkable location for a while. For the area, the price is good, the interior is nice (we like how bright and sunny everything is, and we really like the built-in drawers and cabinet in one of its 4 bedrooms). The lot is pretty wee, not even a quarter of an acre, but we’re willing to overlook that, given that the Rail Trail is right nearby, as is the Huguenot Historic District, which is one of our favorite places to ramble, stretch our legs, and take in some sites in the New Paltz area. Furthermore, the Trailways bus station is about a 5 minute walk away. Cars are so overrated.
