Car-Free Country House: Oneonta Colonial, $236,000
Kandy Harris | April 25, 2012We’ve been eye-balling Oneonta up in Otsego County for quite some time. There’s quite a bit for sale in the small city, which is also home to two colleges: Hartwick College, and SUNY Oneonta. This Colonial on the west side of town immediately registered on our adorable meter, due in part to its nicely landscaped yard.
Inside, it’s airy and open. Kitchen is small (and luridly green, too), but appliances look new. Basement is finished. Also has a detached garage and stone patio.
The Trailways bus station at SUNY Oneonta is about 3 miles away, and even though this house is on the fringes of the city, it’s still a doable bike ride to the center of town and restaurants, shops, etc. Here’s a link to the city’s website.
