Car-Free Country House: Woodstock Cottage, $269,000
Kandy Harris | September 5, 2012Location-wise, it really doesn’t get much better than this in Woodstock. It’s located on a dead-end street just a hop and a skip from all sorts of neat stuff in town, like the library, the rec center, all kinds of restaurants (Oriole 9 springs to mind), and the Mill Stream swimming hole. The Trailways bus station is a five minute walk away, but it’s really less. GMAP will have you believe you need to loop all the way around Mountain View Avenue to get there, but all you have to do is cut through the municipal lot across from the Colony Cafe, which should cut a whopping 2 minutes off of your commute time!
The upshot? It’s decently priced for a village house in Woodstock, and it’s simple, cute, and well-situated.
