Observe as these Catskills Abandoned Resorts Come Back to Life…
Kandy Harris | September 13, 2017It’s Hump Day, so take a moment out of your busy day to watch these Poconos and Catskills abandoned resorts transform from their current dilapidation to their former glory days before your very eyes.
Pablo Iglesias Maurer took photos of ruined resorts Grossinger’s Resort and Homowack Lodge in the Catskills, as well as Penn Hills Lodge in the Poconos, and matched them with vintage postcards (and in one case, a matchbook) depicting the same scenes. The result is an eerie image that shifts from the current ruination of these once-grand resorts, to their former pristine condition in the 1960s and 70s. See the full collection on DCist.com.
