Folk Concert at The Orpheum Theater  

Catskill Mountain Foundation is hosting a folk concert this Saturday, January 14 at 8 pm at the Orpheum Theater in Tannersville, featuring Aztec Two-Step, Walt Michael, Rob Caswell, Professor Louie & The Crowmatix, and Greg Dayton and the Greene Room Show Choir. Musical traditions of Scotland, Ireland, and the Appalachians will be performed along with Americana music. You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown at the Center for the Performing Arts in Rhinebeck

The Center for Performing Arts at Rhinebeck is hosting a production of You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown directed by Lisa Lynds, and starring Tom Bunker, Fred Fishberg, Patrick McGriff, Kate Podell, Jeremy Ratel and Sabrina Roberts. Written by Clark Gesner in 1967, You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown is musical comedy based on Charles M. Schulz’s comic strip characters in Peanuts. Performances are held Friday and Saturday at 8 pm, and Sunday at 3 pm. For more information, visit their website.

NYS Great Places and Spaces at the New York State Museum

The New York State Museum in Albany is hosting NYS Great Places and Spaces Saturday, January 14 from noon to 4 pm. A variety of exhibits and activities will showcase the state’s cultural and historic assets, and will highlight some of the major events taking place this year. Participating organizations include Albany Institute of History and Art, Franklin D. Roosevelt Presidential Library and Museum, Olana State Historic Park, National Museum of Racing, and others. The program includes a tour of the Hudson Valley Ruins exhibition, and a musical performance by the Iron Jacks. For more details, preview the exhibit here.
