Check Out This Renovated Raised Ranch in Hyde Park for $399K

  |  February 15, 2023

Today’s Hyde Park home was just listed a day ago—and its location and renovations may not keep it on the market for long.

The three-bedroom, two-bath raised ranch measures 1,907 square feet. This style of home was made popular in the late 1960s (this was built in 1967), and has remained in the forefront of family living ever since. Once you climb the interior stairs, it’s pretty much one-level-living convenience. Beige vinyl siding comprises the upper part of the exterior, and red brick lines the lower half. Brown shutters on all the windows bring cohesiveness to the look.

The listing doesn’t show the stairs, so we don’t know if those have retained their ’60s essence or if they’ve been updated. But boy, the rest of the house sure has been redone. The living room has hardwood floors and a gray-brick fireplace that accents the gray walls.

A dining area with a modern pendant light is just off the living room, at one end of the kitchen. The door on the back wall leads to the raised, outdoor deck.

This view shows the openness of the space. A doorway between the living room and dining area allows the daylight to stream in from the living room’s triple-paned picture window.

The kitchen has the same modern pendant light as the dining area, along with recessed lighting. The cabinets are pure white, and the uppers reach to the ceiling. Quartz counters resemble marble, and the backsplash is gray-and-white tile. The appliances are a mix of stainless steel and black.

The center island has storage and room for a breakfast bar. If you’ve been wondering about that other door…

…it leads to this enclosed porch, with what looks like a laminate floor and tons of windows.

All the bedrooms are on the main floor, and all have gray walls and wood floors.

This one has two windows and a ceiling fan.

They share this gray-toned bath with a quartz-topped white vanity.

The tub and shower combo is lined with marbled white tile that has black grout accents.

The primary bedroom has the same color scheme as the other bedrooms, but is a bit bigger.

Its ensuite bath has a double-size, walk-in shower with gray marble walls and a penny-tile floor.

The lower level is nicely finished as well, with this large recreation room, a wood floor, and—yup—gray walls.

There’s a separate office, too, that has its own closet.

The back deck has stairs down to the nearly half-acre yard, which is fenced with chain-link to keep pets and kiddos contained. The roomy driveway leads right to the two-car garage on the lower level.

Of course, this tree-lined street is close to all of Hyde Park’s amenities and everything a family would need. So if you’re in the market for a familial lair, head to 42 Putnam Road, Hyde Park, with Susan Stevens of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Hudson Valley Properties.
