Did you see that Mt. Tremper Arts got themselves a nod from the NYT back on July 4th? Has it piqued your curiosity about one of the coolest art festivals in the Catskills? If so, help kick off the Mt. Tremper Arts Summer Festival this Friday with the music of Nathan Davis and Christian Wolff performed by the International Contemporary Ensemble (ICE). Tickets are $20 and can be purchased on the Mt. Tremper Arts website. The culture continues through the end of August with more music, performance art, dance, and theatre. Here’s the entire calendar of events. We know there’s another large music festival happening near Woodstock this weekend, but if elbowing your way through a crowd of 20,000 concert-goers isn’t quite your bag, maybe something smaller and more intimate might be more to your liking. Mt. Tremper Arts is located at 647 Plank Road, Mt. Tremper (GMAP), about 20 minutes west of Woodstock.
