There’s a whole lotta whimsy happening on the Saugerties real estate market, starting with this circa-1883 church out in the town of Saugerties, which has been refurbished into a 2 bed/2 bath residence. Oh, and it also includes an enormous art studio. And also a separate bungalow. Churches can be tough at times. They’re quaint and loaded with potential, but location is often an issue (a good spot for a church isn’t usually a good spot for a private residence). This one doesn’t seem to suffer from that problem. Granted, it’s close to the road, as most churches are, but the fact that it’s on over 3 acres means not ALL of it is facing the road. Landscaping is nice, too. Fishcreek Road is off of Route 212 about 10 minutes west of Saugerties village.
