Coming Soon: Suds from the CIA
Kandy Harris | August 12, 2014The Culinary Institute in Hyde Park could soon have its own student-run brewpub. According to an August 6 press release, Governor Cuomo has authorized the CIA to manufacture their own beer. The incipient brewing works will be operated in conjunction with the Brooklyn Brewing Company and students of the school can expect courses in beer making. Said the Gov: “Today’s action clears the way for a truly innovative partnership between The Culinary Institute of America and Brooklyn Brewery. By enabling this internationally renowned educational institution to combine forces with one of New York’s most iconic breweries, we will be able to further strengthen the mid-Hudson Valley’s tourism industry today, and also bring the state’s burgeoning craft beer industry to new heights by training the brewers of tomorrow.”
