Conde Nast Traveler’s Big Shout-out to the Catskills

In fact, in a story that ran both on their website and in print, the headline read that the Catskills are “New York’s New Culinary Retreat.” Hefty words, but fitting. The story focuses on Table on Ten in Bloomville, Brushland Eating House in Bovina, Lucky Dog Cafe and Farm Store in Hamden, Russell’s General Store in Bovina, Two Old Tarts in Andes, Kabinett & Kammer in Andes (no food here; just a fun curiosity and antique store that has definitely moved onto our short list of destinations). The author of the piece, Abby Aguirre, has this to say about her trip to Table on Ten (which has three guest rooms) in the western Catskills:

“If you didn’t know what to look for, you might breeze right by the inn and perhaps through all of Bloomville without knowing you’d missed anything. This is true of many of the spots worth seeking out in Delaware County, making a long weekend here feel a bit like a scavenger hunt.”

See that? Scavenger hunt! Read the article in print or here.
