Congrats to the Winner of the Kingston Stockade Getaway!

Some of you may be thinking: what happened with that whole getaway thing? Well, the time has come, and we here at Upstater are happy to announce that after receiving 2,500 entries, Alyssa, a Registered Nurse living in the Upper East Side, has won that oh-so-coveted collection of weekend goodies. Congratulations, Alyssa! She has a three night stay at The Saint James, $200 to spend at Boitson’s, a $100 tab at the Stockade, tickets for BSP, and another $100 at Ester Wine & Spirits. Now that’s a weekend getaway.

Alyssa shared with us a bit about herself and, from the sound of it, she deserves a getaway like no other. She grew up in Marlboro, but moved to Manhattan some years ago. Currently, she works as an RN in invasive cardiology at Mount Sinai Hospital. Quite the impressive resume, that’s for sure. When not doing amazing things at work, she enjoys singing and songwriting throughout the city with her band. But, it’s time for a mini-escape to the Hudson Valley which, she says, she loves and visits as often as she can. It’s a pretty great place, as we all know.
