Cooperstown Three-Bedroom Close to Public Transportation, $375,000
Upstater Staff | December 31, 2014We won’t bury the lede on this one: You’d be daft to try to live in a place like Cooperstown without a car. While you can get to most everything you need in town on foot or by bike, you might find yourself slowly descending into madness if you can’t get out of a one-traffic light village every now and again. That doesn’t mean, however, that it’s not handy having a Trailways bus stop nearby, just in case you long for small town living while trying to at least cut back on your driving. This gorgeous 3 bed/1.5 bath house is fairly close to the one in Cooperstown located on Elm Street, less than a 10 minute walk away. We love the sunny interior, the brick fireplace, kitchen, finished third story space, and the big yard. Oh, and there’s also a trolley system that ferries folks around the village and runs every 20 minutes (a ride ticket costs $2 and is good all day), which is helpful in a town with little parking that’s not metered. Not too bad for a one-traffic light town.
