Copake Lake House in the Summer, Catamount Ski Digs in the Winter, $250,000
Kandy Harris | November 12, 2015No sense in making tough choices here. Enjoy Columbia County’s beloved Copake Lake, views included, during the summer. Swim, boat, recreate like it’s your job. Then, when the snow starts to fall, use it as your very own home base for skiing/boarding at Catamount Ski Area, located about 20 minutes away.
The 900 sq.ft. cottage has had a recent renovation and looks all shiny and new. If knotty pine is your thing, you’ll find it in abundance in every corner of the interior. Living room includes vaulted ceilings, skylights, and a wood-burning stove, while the kitchen comes with its own farm basin sink (no fridge). We broke our “no toilets in photos” rule to show you the clawfoot tub (maybe we can find a way to mosaic out the toilets in the future). But our favorite feature is the clear path across the street and to the lake with a shared dock. Just in case you’re wondering about the $250,000 listing price on a 900 sq. ft. vacation cottage. When it comes to lake houses, the closer to the water, the bigger the price tag.
61 SW Colony Road, Hillsdale (Copake Lake Realty)
