The Cutest Craftsman Bungalow in All of the Catskills, $129,000
Kandy Harris | November 28, 2016Check out this museum piece in the Delaware County village of Margaretville: A turquoise Arts & Crafts bungalow with a vintage interior and fairly dripping with charm.
Does it need a little sprucing? Yes. We can see its age a bit around the edges of this c.1907 home (and yes, we realize we went a little outside of the 1910-1930 range of our theme this week, but it’s such a sweet example of the Craftsman-style bungalows that factor into that time period, we simply couldn’t resist). It need some updated flooring and maybe a few other tweaks, too, but we love the built-in cabinetry and the retro kitchen appliances.
Includes 3 beds, 1 and a quarter baths, 1200 square feet, and a location right in the midst of Margaretville. Have you been? You’ll find it in eastern Delaware County along the East Branch of the Delaware River. Since someone always brings up that it flooded during Irene, we’ve gone ahead and posted Margaretville’s floodplain map from FEMA here. Regardless, Margaretville is a great community full of historic architecture and a lot of grit and spirit, so go visit.
