“Destination Ciders” Showcased at Cider Week Hudson Valley

  |  June 2, 2017

Now in its seventh year as a multi-faceted festival with a flavorful message, Cider Week Hudson Valley kicks off Friday, June 9, with cider-centric happenings being hosted through June 18 at numerous cideries, bars, restaurants, shops and markets throughout the region.

As a reflection of rapidly growing demand for hard cider, a next-level experience is being introduced this year that helps connect cider drinkers to cider makers: “Destination Ciders,” limited editions made from 100% New York State apples available only on the farms where they are produced. Producer creativity and apple versatility are displayed in these special bottles and barrels, which will not be available at any other venue during Cider Week.

Initiatives and collaborations under the auspices of Glynwood’s Cider Project broaden opportunities for apple growers in the Hudson Valley and have supported the production of orchard-based hard cider through exponential growth.
