Dutch Barn Conversion in Marbletown, $249,000
Kandy Harris | July 6, 2012
The listing for this Dutch barn conversion in Marbletown (Ulster County) says that it’s a “work in progress”. That may be the case, certainly regarding the exterior and the kitchen, which looks like it needs some upgrading, but it’s still a whole lotta barn at a very decent price at around $80/square foot. It sits on over 7 acres in a rural area about 18 miles southwest of Kingston, and although it’s right on the road, it’s not a major thoroughfare.
The barn is over 3,000 square feet, and the living space looks nice with plank floors and pegged beams in the cathedral ceilings. Property includes a stream-fed swimming pond and gardens. Definitely looks like a worthwhile project house!
