Eat Your Way Through the HV @ the Hudson Valley Food & Wine Fest
Kandy Harris | September 4, 2014If there are two things we love here in the HV, it’s our food and wine, so you can expect to see a crowd every time there’s food to be eaten, and, let’s face it, that wine isn’t going to drink itself. Both the Taste of New Paltz and the Saugerties Garlic Festivals are big deals here, but we’ve still got a couple of weeks before those roll around again (ToNP is Sept. 14 and the Garlic Fest is Sept. 27 & 28). In the meantime, whet your whistle at the Hudson Valley Food & Wine Fest at the Dutchess County Fairgrounds in Rhinebeck this Saturday and Sunday. The vendor list is impressive, far too many wineries, distilleries, food trucks, and purveyors of every conceivable kind of comestible to list here. Our suggestion is to just go ahead and drop the $70 for an entire weekend of eating and drinking as much as you want, because trust us when we say there’s no way you’ll be able to try everything in one day. However, if you choose to try such an ill-advised endeavor, one-day passes are $40. See? It’s actually cheaper to go both days! It gets even cheaper for those who do not imbibe: Food-only passes are $22 for a day or $37 for the weekend. More info on tickets here.
