Field + Supply Makers’ Fair in High Falls 10/11-12

The Field+Supply fair isn’t your grandmother’s typical church-basement arts and crafts fair. If you go looking for doilies and toilet paper cozies, you’ll be sorely disappointed. But if you’re more interested in sophisticated, artistic design when it comes to fashion, food, and furniture, Field + Supply will delight you.
The fair will be held over Columbus Day weekend in October at the Black Barn on Bruceville Road in High Falls, Ulster County and will feature some of the most talented designers in the Hudson Valley and Catskills. Exhibitors includes Materia Designs, The Commons, Modern Living Supply, Apparatus Studio, Gather Journal, Egg Collective, and that’s just to name a few. According to the event organizer Brad Ford, “as a kid I loved that experience of being surrounded by so many creative people. It was always something to look forward to—not just the craft and design but the people. It was very social. As an adult, I long for that experience but my taste level has become a bit more elevated. I wanted to create a similar feeling but in a new context.”
Field+Supply got a shout-out in on the Dwell website, which is no surprise. The roster of exhibitors features a number of Dwell favorites like Egg Collective and The Commons.
If you go, take some time to explore High Falls. It’s a charming little historic hamlet situated around, you guessed, waterfalls. They also have a great weekend flea market that will stick around until the end of October.
