The First Berkshire BEATLES Bash

  |  July 7, 2017

For the first time ever, the Berkshire Bash (a year-round, all-ages, mobile music festival that in summer moves to outdoor festival venues) is hosting Beatlemania. The Berkshire BEATLES Bash on Saturday, July 8th, is the inaugural, day-long music festival at Ski Butternut in Great Barrington, and celebrates the Fab Four’s music and style. It’s kid- and stroller-friendly, so bring your little Beatles-maniacs.

The feature band of the Berkshire BEATLES Bash is Classical Mystery Tour, whose four musicians together, and singly, have decades of live performance experience as the Beatles. Many have starred in productions of Beatlemania on Broadway and in film. They dress in different era-appropriate costume, as they perform classics like “Penny Lane” and “I Am the Walrus.” Other groups performing Beatles’ sets at the festival will include Plastic Soul led by local musician Richard Downs and acoustic musicians Eric Reinhardt & Francine Ciccarelli.

At the BEATLES Bash, there will be lawn seating and shade. Kids can run around in the back and side areas as they like. There will be lots of local food vendors, and beer and libations for parents. The United Cerebral Palsy Association of Berkshire County is hosting an activity center for kids, with face painting, music games, and more, all for free.
