Five Figures in Newburgh, Part I: Two-Story with Hardwood Floors, $79,900
Kandy Harris | December 23, 2016
Happy Five Figure Friday! Today, we’re looking at two low-priced listings in the city of Newburgh.
There never seems to be a shortage of charming old buildings in need of fixing up. Perennial fave Newburgh Restoration gives a taste of what could be accomplished with these historic buildings, and this one on 1st Street isn’t half bad. Includes 1200 square feet, two bedrooms, 1.5 baths, laundry room, and great looking wood floors. Also includes a fenced-in yard.
In addition to being a super cheap house that’s livable if in need of some tweaking and more cost-effective than renting, the taxes are a reasonable $3300/year. As for the location, it’s situated off Route 9W and across the street from some of those aforementioned renovated old buildings. 5 minutes from the Newburgh waterfront and the ferry to Beacon, where you can hop the train to the city.
Stay tuned for another five-figure Newburgh property later this afternoon on Upstater…
284 1st Street, Newburgh (RE/MAX)
