What’s nice about this place is the location — under two hours from Brooklyn, not far from the Taconic — and the lot, four flat acres. It’s a handyman special, very close to the public Black Pond lake. Carmel is pricey, of course, but even so this seems like a lot for a fixer-upper. Attributes: There’s an old abandoned house on the property (Ms. Havisham, anyone?) and a barn/garage with electricity. Lots of fun for the handy folks out there.
