Fixer-Upper of the Week: Philmont Arts+Crafts, $110,000
Upstater | June 20, 2012
Someone started to lovingly restore this sweet three-bed, two-bath built in 1880, and then gave up. (We assume the reason is financial, but we don’t know). If you buy it, for just over a hundred grand, they’ll throw in the materials. It’s on a half-acre lot, lined with stone walls, in the sweet little Columbia County hamlet of Philmont.

Here’s what they’ve done to it so far:
– New cedar shake siding
– New windows
– All new electrical box and wiring
– Wood floors
– Sheetrocked upstairs
No kitchen photos, so that’ll need reinventing, too.
Philmont is about a two-hour and forty-five minute drive away from Brooklyn, a short skip from the Hudson Amtrak station.
Main Street Arts+Crafts, Philmont, NY. $110,000. GMAP.
