Former Quaker Meeting House in Athens Now a Stylish Cape, $299,000
Kandy Harris | December 16, 2015Like our earlier post on a farmhouse restoration project, so, too, is this Cape Cod located in Athens. The two properties also share a time period, allegedly around the 1870s. That’s where the similarities end, however, as this former Quaker Meeting House-turned-Cape Cod needs nary a hint of work.
The tip-top restoration features those plank floors we know and love (feel free to use these as inspiration for the floors in the Athens farmhouse we posted about this morning), plaster walls, and exposed brick. Don’t let its Cape Cod dormer windows fool the eyes; there’s nearly 2200 sq. ft. of space in here.
Includes three bedrooms and two new baths. Also new: The roof and hot water heater. Located in the village on just under a quarter acre lot.
7 S. Montgomery Street, Athens (Keller Willilams)
