Free Homebuying Class in the Western Catskills

The Western Catskills Community Revitalization Council and the Schoharie County Rural Preservation Corporation will offer a free Home Buying Class on May 4 and 5. Day one covers the preparation for home buying — are you ready to do it, loan programs, how to get your credit report, and how to fix your credit if it’s bad. Day two: getting a mortgage, making an offer and dealing with closing on a house. Once you complete the class, they’ll hook you up with info about home ownership grants.

Classes will be held at 76 Main Street, 1st floor, in Stamford from 8:30AM to 3 PM. RSVP to info@westerncatskills.org or call 607.652.2823 to register.
