Friday Real Estate Porn: Comfort Island Mansion, $1.495 Mill

This is pretty far outside traditional Upstater territory, in the Thousand Islands, but who can pass up a place on Comfort Island? Isn’t that where most of us want to live, in the end, on an island of comfort?

The inside is beautiful and a bit dilapidated, Ms. Havisham-style, with incredible murals and paintings. It has a kid-friendly beach, nine bedrooms, three baths and almost two acres of private island. It is apparently still owned by the same family that built it in 1883. Time for yours to take it over?
