Friday Real Estate Porn: Shokan Live/Work, $965,000

We wrote up 2866 State Route 28 in August of 2011, and the price hasn’t dropped a dime since then. But if you’re looking for the upstate New York/country version of a live/work space, and you have some money to spend, this is worth a look. Route 28 is the main drag west of Kingston through the Catskills, so lotsa cars zooming by every day (one estimate is 15,000).

The two buildings include a 1940s former garage, which has been a restaurant and furnishings store in the past, among other incarnations. Then there’s a two-bed, two-bath 1980s contemporary behind it. The garage is 2,500 square feet and the house is 950 — small but pretty.
