Garrison Mid-Mod, $499,845
Kandy Harris | April 8, 2014
One of these days, we’re going to collect enough mid-century modern listings to do an entire week of them. Meanwhile, we’ll just have to be satisfied with posting them when we find one, like this one in Garrison, Putnam County. Garrison’s real estate prices are expensive across the board. It’s an upscale area that remains popular among those weekending north of the city, so prices reflect that. It’s also bucolic, with few paved roads and river views. So while a half-a-mill seems kind of steep for a 2 bed/2 bath Ranch, it’s typical for the area. But hey, at least it’s easy on the eyes. It’s deceptively spacious, has the mid-mod signature trademark of tons of windows, and it’s located on over 3 acres.
