Grassy Ridge in Olivebridge: Natural magic near the Ashokan Reservoir.
Jane Anderson | May 6, 2025
Grassy Ridge in Olivebridge is a c.1954 cottage that’s quaint and rustic in all the right ways.
The exterior is sheathed in weathered wood. Rusty tones trim the windows and doors.

Inside, a stone fireplace beckons on a sea of shiny hardwood flooring.

The ceiling, too, is wood planking. A spiral staircase climbs upstairs in one brightly lit corner.

The barrel-shaped ceiling over the kitchen frames a homey vignette. A colorful pantry adjoins a black fridge and range, and overhead cabinets carry the same cheery light teal color. White cabinetry topped with butcher block sits catty-corner, separating the kitchen from the living room.

One flex room is on the main level, with hardwood flooring and green trim.

Yellow trim is the shade of choice in this corner, which has sliders out to the bluestone patio.

Colorful mosaic tile dances across the backsplash and onto the floor in the bathroom. A stacked laundry-machine set sits next to the glass-topped vanity.

Teal hexi tiles decorate the walls of the tub/shower, which otherwise could use some updates.

Curl your way up the spiral staircase to this primary bedroom, with dark-brown wood flooring and paneled closets. Big windows let in lots of light.

The acre of land is fun to explore.

The home is three miles south of the breathtaking Ashokan Reservoir. It’s one of our favorite places, imbued with natural magic. All of this for $350,000, too.
