Greek Revival on the Hill in Malden, $349,900
Kandy Harris | February 4, 2015
Do you know the hamlet of Malden-on-Hudson? If not, maybe you should familiarize yourself with it. No shops, no restaurants, no general store (although there is a post office). There’s the village of Saugerties for all those things, just a couple of minutes to the south. It’s not really about that in Malden. Instead, the tight-knit community is about peacefulness within its tree-lined loop-de-loop streets, where a pretty house lies around nearly every corner. Like this Greek Revival located on a small hill overlooking Main Street Malden situated on nearly 2 acres of lush green land. The front parlor contains two marble fireplaces (there are 4 fireplaces total in the house), the ceilings are tall, and the wood floors are wide plank. We love this property, but sadly, you won’t escape Saugerties property taxes by moving to Malden. What you will find, however, is easy access to the Hudson River about a 5 minutes walk away. Ignore the GMAP location for this. It’s not even close. We included a link below to a spot much closer to where this house actually stands.
