Happy Hot Dog Day, Hudson Valley!
Staff | July 19, 2017
Wednesday July 19th is National Hot Dog Day, and if you’re on the hunt for the perfect dog, you’ll likely find it in the Hudson Valley.
Poughkeepsie Journal recommends these hot dog joints to level up your street meat game, regardless of whether you’re looking for all-beef, foot-long, veggie, or sausage. Of course, there’s always the ubiquitous Dallas Hot Wieners if you happen to be in Kingston, Saugerties, or Albany. Even better (and glaringly missing from PoJo’s list): Head to the center of Palenville, Greene County and make a stop at Pippy’s Food Truck for hot dogs and oh so much more. A&G Texas Weiners in Catskill village is another spot to add to your hot dog tour, and Noshi’s Coney Island just opened in Poughkeepsie yesterday, July 18th. What fortuitous timing!
Do you have a favorite hot dog joint? Let us know about it in the comments!
