Ah, kids today. They wake up, go to school, get discovered by Helmut Lang and cast in his fashion show in NYC for a spring 2018 collection, go home, go to bed, and get up at 6am the next day for school.
Okay, not every kid. But for Rhinebeck 16 year old Henry Mosto, that’s exactly what happened. Literally plucked from obscurity from the streets of NYC with no modeling background whatsoever, Mosto lives in Rhinebeck, attends the Poughkeepsie Day School, and plays music at the Paul Green Rock Academy in Saugerties. Vogue.com recently ran a big spread of Lang’s show, which was held in September. Curious about the young Mr. Mosto’s original music? Check him out at soundcloud.com/grey_couche.
The Who knew all along: The kids are, indeed, alright. They can model, play rock music, and still make it to school on time. Meanwhile, those of us over the age of 40 need a nap just thinking about it.
