Hillsdale Village Cheapie, $99,000
Kandy Harris | November 13, 2015
There’s a lot about this house to like. For example: When we first looked at the exterior and first floor of this 1700 sq.ft. Hillsdale home, we did not expect to find the second floor to be so appealing with plank floors, rustic wood beams, and exposed brick. We’ve got nothing against the first floor, but it needs an update, a polish, and several splashes of your personality. Located within walking distance of a supermarket and a cafe in the Columbia County village (you can read more about Hillsdale in this recent piece), the house has a small yard (<.10 acre) and the taxes seem startlingly low at around $1000/year. Catamount Ski Area is a breezy 10 minutes from the front door. And, the Columbia County MLS says the house is “very good” condition. Promising, no?
