Historic Walton House + Horse Barn, $189,900
Kandy Harris | March 19, 2013We had to do a bit of digging to find some interior shots of this circa-1804 house in Walton, but it was worth it. One of the listings we found for the property states that this is one of the oldest houses in the village of Walton (thanks, Coldwell Banker!), and we certainly like that its maintained that look and feel on the inside. And the bonus? It’s located on over 3 acres of land and includes a small six-stall horse barn, plus tack room and hay storage.
The listing suggests that, because it’s a five-bedroom, the house has B&B potential. But anytime we see “B&B potential” in a listing for a house without an equal ratio of beds to baths, we are admittedly skeptical, mainly because sharing a bathroom with two or three strangers while you’re on vacation might be a bit of a hard sell. Regardless, we love it as a single-family, and for what you’re getting, it’s tough to beat the price. Listing also says you can grab an extra 32.4 acres to go with the house for $249,900.
