  |  August 28, 2017

There’s a lot going on in the Hudson Valley contemporary art scene, from Kinderhook up in Columbia County to Catskill in Greene County to Cold Spring in Putnam County. The New York Times recently took a moment to offer this guide to what’s happening in art spaces right now.

The Thomas Cole Historic Site, Jack Shainman Gallery (aka The School), Magazzino Italian Art, Omi International Art Center, and a handful of other galleries got a nod from the NYT, all of which are featuring new exhibits from innovative artists such as Kiki Smith, Paa Joe, Michelangelo Pistoletto, and Jannis Kounellis. Read the full story below, and make plans to get upstate to explore Hudson Valley contemporary art in person.
