Then pay attention, because there are so many events planned for the Hudson Valley Labor Day weekend 2017, you might want a suggestion or two.

Personally, we here at Upstater get our suggestions from Chronogram’s 8-Day Week newsletter, a once-a-week source for all the fun to be had in the Hudson Valley and Catskills, like live music, art, theater, food, wine, film, family events…you name it. For the upcoming Hudson Valley Labor Day weekend 2017…

…catch the Woodstock Museum Free Film Festival. No, not that Woodstock Film Festival. This one is free (donations welcome) and runs through Monday, September 4th at the Woodstock Museum. No, not that Woodstock Museum. This one is located at 13 Bach Road, Saugerties.

…enjoy live music at Emerson Resort and Spa’s End of Summer Party on Saturday, September 2nd. The festivities starts at 8pm, and Catskills musician Steve Koester’s band Two Dark Birds will be playing original tunes starting at 9pm. 5340 NY-28, Mount Tremper.

…get your Irish on at the Hooley on the Hudson in downtown Kingston. On Sunday, September 3rd, the Rondout neighborhood transforms into a big Irish pub crawl with live music, performances, and children’s activities scheduled all day long. Also at the Hooley: Guinness. Lots and lots of Guinness. Luckily, there’s food there, too. Party goes from 11:30am to 9pm. Get the full schedule here. TR Gallo Memorial Park, 1 Broadway, Kingston.
