Hunter NY cottage renovation

We’ve featured this Hunter NY cottage renovation before, but you probably don’t recognize it…

That’s before the Hunter Cottage of Mystery was thoroughly renovated, top to bottom, down to the studs. Here’s what what the exterior looked like back in October 2015:

Intriguing, no? We thought so, too, but we had no way of knowing what the interior looked like. Recently, however, the owners forwarded us some pictures of the pre-renovation interior:

A bit rough around the edges, indeed, but the owners saw potential and decided to fix it up and flip it. So, without further ado, here’s what the rest of the renovated exterior and interior look like:

And now, for the nitty gritty.

Situated in Greene County’s Hunter village, this cottage includes three bedrooms, two baths, eat-in kitchen with breakfast bar, and wood floors. Our favorite feature of the cottage is the attached deck that overlooks the Schoharie Creek flowing across the backyard. Some nice mountain views included, too. Love the winter sports? Hunter Mountain’s main entrance is literally steps away.

Because this is Low Taxes Week on Upstater, we’d be remiss if we didn’t share the 2017 property taxes for 7823 Main Street, Hunter: $2385. Not bad.
