Hurley Bungalow, $295,000
Kandy Harris | April 11, 2012You want privacy? Well, you’re probably going to find it here. Nothing’s ever guaranteed, of course, but based on the GMAP, this place looks to be in the boonies. And the beautiful boonies, at that! Thielpape Road is a dead-end, and the listing description says that almost nobody uses it except the homeowners. There’s a stream nearby, and the house is on nearly 2 acres. It looks…quiet. A little too quiet? Nah, there’s no such thing.
The house dates back to 1917, but it’s been completely gutted and renovated, so everything looks shiny and new. In fact, it’s described as never having been lived in, which is interesting. So essentially, it’s a brand new house, and we like how the interior is Spartan and wide open, like a big blank canvas. We don’t so much like the vinyl siding on the exterior, though, but that’s a personal preference. Nice wide-plank wood floors and lots of windows, too.
