From HV Magazine: Winter Playtime for the Whole Fam
Upstater Staff | December 30, 2016
Now that the holidays are coming to an end, the winter malaise is going to start setting in fast. Time to make a plan. Or, you could let someone else make a plan for you, which is exactly what HV Mag did recently with its updated for 2016 list of 8 Places to Go Skating, Skiing, and Tubing this Winter, and it fits in perfectly with this week’s focus on kid-friendly communities in the Hudson Valley and Catskills.
Two popular public parks made the list: Bowdoin Park in Wappingers Falls, Dutchess County for their new ice skating rink (it’s portable! How cool is that!); and Thomas Bull Memorial Park in Montgomery, Orange County, for snow tubing. Our favorite hill for tubing/sledding is Burger Hill Park, also in Dutchess County just outside of Rhinebeck, and HV Mag agrees. Where’s your favorite tubing/sledding spot? Let us know in the comments!
